Facebook Acquires TBE To Launch VR And 360-degree Sound Design Tools


Facebook has just acquire Two Big Ears, and has made the entire "spacial workstation" for cinematic VR and 360 free audio for all users to download.

Facebook making the software part of their own, has offered the public three download which include tools for their audio apps, Facebook 360 encoder apps, and stand alone video player. Though Facebook is yet to release a VR  video editor. I know you might be wondering whats Two Big Ears means? just read on you will know the meaning and what they stand for.

What Two Big Ears - A virtual reality audio company, is now part of Facebook - is a set of tools that plug in to the video and audio editors you already use - hopefully. This includes Pro Tools HD, Nuendo, and Reaper. Below is what TBE has to say:

Each of the application has its own folder which is called "FB360 Spatial Workstation", it is mainly for content creator which you can download free as well. And with the stand alone FB360 encoder, you will be able to load audio into a video file from let say "Pro Tools" with ease.

Two Big Ears has promised to provide support in accordance with the current agreement for anyone who has bought a paid licence to the old workstation for the next 12 months.
