The latest data report from research firm Strategy Analytics shows that the iPhone 6s is the most popular smartphone in the world. Apple currently accounts for iPhone 6/6s been the two top-selling smartphone models shipped worldwide.
According to the report iPhone 6s was and still is the top selling smartphone in the second quarter of 2016, which has an estimate of 14.2 million shipments followed by the iPhone 6 with an estimated record of 8.5 million shipments.

Though the Samsung Galaxy S7, despite the high demand, came third in this report with an estimated 8.3 million shipments in the second quarter. Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s outsold the new Samsung galaxy s7 edge, which was released in march 2016. Apple also recorded about 40.4 million iPhones during the second quarter which include the iPhone 6s plus and older models.
Having said that, Following the samsung galaxy note 7 explosion report which force Samsung to recall the galaxy note 7, will could cost the company between $1 billion and $5 billion in revenue might make he iphone 7 model to remain the top-selling smartphone worldwide.
