Of recent a judge in Brazil order WhatApp to hand over message records to what was related to an ongoing drug investigation. The company refuse to comply with the order, because the company themselves don't have access to individual chat logs because of this the judge order that every telecommunication in the country to block WhatApp, in order to punish the company. which means that all Brazil folks can't use the WhatApp service.
According to TechCrunch, The judge also warns that any Telecommunication company who fail to block the service will be penalize with a fine accordingly.
Having said that, this outage is said to last 72 Hours. As a result of this another company Telegram is taking advantage of this because almost all Brazil folks has now switch to Telegram - another WhatApp like messaging app.
